It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2026 Annual Meeting of the WRC University Caucus, which will take place on Thursday, May 14 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The meeting will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with breakfast available beforehand and with an optional lunch after the end of the meeting. We are co-locating with CLC’s Collegiate Licensing Seminar, at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center (a link to book rooms at a discounted rate forthcoming).

Among the topics we will cover:

• A review of the labor rights violations the WRC has identified at collegiate factories over the last 12 months, including some of the most troublingly cases, with a discussion of the licensees’ response and the steps the WRC took to achieve remedy for workers and restore compliance with university standards;
• An update on the fallout across the collegiate apparel supply chain from the unprecedented tariffs imposed in 2025, including the implications of the forthcoming Supreme Court decision, which could make licensees and other brands eligible for reimbursements of tariffs already paid;
• An assessment of emerging human rights risks for the collegiate apparel sector in key exporting countries, including India, Bangladesh, Cambodia, El Salvador, and Haiti; and
• A quantitative report on the impact of the WRC’s work to secure back pay for workers in cases of unpaid, legally mandated compensation, including the $16 million we recovered in 2025.
