We hope you can join us on May 9th for the Annual Meeting of the WRC University Caucus in Indianapolis. Whether this will be your 20th WRC annual meeting or your first, this discussion will offer you new insights and updated knowledge about how you can maximize your university’s impact to protect the rights of workers producing licensed apparel.

As the six university representatives serving on the WRC board, we hope you will join us to take a day-long deep dive into how robust implementation of our universities’ policies can have a life-changing impact for the workers creating our university logo apparel and how this helps us protect and build our universities’ own brands.

WRC Executive Director Scott Nova and the WRC staff will be providing updates—and answering your questions—about key topics including the WRC’s work to:

• Recover millions of dollars in unpaid compensation for workers producing our logo apparel in El Salvador, Thailand, and other countries;
• Prevent fatal accidents at garment factories, including the latest on the expansion of the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry beyond Bangladesh and Pakistan, and address deadly hazards at licensees’ supplier factories; and
• Make use of our unique position and skills to provide workers with access to justice even as rule of law has been challenged and independent institutions have been threatened, from Haiti to Cambodia.
