Tara Mathur

Tara Mathur is Field Director of the Americas for the Worker Rights Consortium. She has worked with the WRC since 2006, initially based in Central America. Tara currently leads the WRC’s Latin America field team, which documents and reports on violations in Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean and engages with buyers to remedy violations of worker rights. Before joining the WRC, Tara worked in El Salvador and in the US with CRISPAZ, an organization that promotes solidarity between communities in the US and communities in El Salvador. She served first as the organization’s Communications Coordinator and later as Coordinator of the fair trade handcrafts program.
