Fairway Apparel
Fairway Apparel, a factory located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, closed operations in August 2024. At the time of closure, the factory paid approximately half of the severance legally owed to its 500 employees but violated Haitian law when it failed to pay the remaining amount of $155,000. After the WRC engaged with Champro, and with licensees that disclose Champro as a supplier of collegiate apparel, Champro agreed to pay the outstanding severance money owed to the workers. Champro contributed $155,000 to ensure the violation was remedied. These funds were distributed to workers in September and December 2025.
The licensees contacted by the WRC based on their disclosure of Champro’s US corporate location included BSN Sports (Varsity Brands), CE Competitive Edge, Club Colors, Garment Graphics, J & W Interests, Les & Bobs Sports & Apparel, Mr. Snappy Sports, SigmaWear, Sporting U, Sports Locker, and Topline Design.
